Our workshops are joyful, interactive and full of personality.
Developed from principles of theatrical improvisation and clowning, we deliver both in-person and online sessions using fun and accessible exercises and games. We create a supportive and productive environment whilst striving to cultivate a nurturing, supportive, and positive workplace for all to work well, play well and stay well.
PlayWell
Our original workshop! This interactive session features engaging, accessible exercises and games inspired by theatrical improvisation and clowning principles. Designed to engage participants at all levels, it fosters a supportive and inclusive environment that boosts confidence, encourages creative thinking, and strengthens team cohesion. Through playful activities, participants learn practical techniques for managing stress, communicating effectively, and navigating challenges with resilience. They also develop valuable skills in empathy, active listening, and the ability to feel ‘comfortable with the uncomfortable’, empowering them to positively impact others’ well-being and contribute to a healthier, more connected workplace culture.
StayWell
Based on principles of theatrical improvisation and clowning, this session provides participants with a foundational understanding of mental health and mental illness. It offers guidance on handling mental health emergencies, advice on pathways to care and effective signposting, and practical strategies for managing their own mental health. Additionally, the session emphasises a company-wide approach to supporting and promoting positive well-being.
AccessWell
This programme equips arts organisations and professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to support disabled people as artists, audiences, and workers. It includes introductions to Access Riders, disability support planning, and the Medical Model of Disability versus the Social Model of Disability. Participants also learn how to embed these practices into recruitment and onboarding processes effectively.
CollaborateWell
This session focuses on the transformative power of collaboration and well-being within creative projects. Participants explore the importance of fostering strong, cooperative relationships and learn practical techniques and strategies to promote a positive and inclusive working environment. Through interactive sessions, they gain skills to navigate challenges often encountered in creative work, such as managing stress, resolving conflicts, and maintaining motivation. The programme also emphasises the value of creating a joyful, accessible, and productive working dynamic, enabling teams to thrive and deliver their best work while prioritising individual and collective well-being.
SpeakWell
Our public speaking training goes beyond technical skills, focusing on creating a safe, inclusive environment to help participants overcome fears or anxiety about speaking in front of others. Our expert trainers provide a fun, interactive learning experience using techniques inspired by theatrical improvisation and clowning. We prioritise self-care and well-being, equipping participants with strategies to manage stress and anxiety before and during public speaking events. Whether an experienced professional or a beginner, this programme builds confidence, sharpens communication skills, and boosts career development. Join us for in-person or online sessions and take the first step towards becoming a more effective and confident speaker.
PlanWell
This access and welfare planning tool is a comprehensive resource designed to support both senior managers and workers in fostering a healthy, productive workplace. For senior management, it includes a company-wide Stress Risk Assessment framework and tools to identify and mitigate stress-related risks, promoting a supportive organisational culture. For workers, the tool helps assess and address individual risks to well-being, particularly during creative projects. By raising awareness of personal and workplace well-being factors, it enables proactive planning and preventative care measures, ensuring sustainable and effective collaboration across all levels of the organisation.
“Inspiring, hilarious and richly rewarding. If you’re looking for a tangible impact that improves and supports the wellbeing within your team, I would definitely recommend working with PlayWell.”

What people say
“Lauren’s credible, refreshing and engaging style made an immediate positive impression on the group. Great ice-breakers and a seamless series of fun and supportive activities to encourage the group to mix, remix, encourage empathy, share and work together differently. Playful, without being foolish. This was all achieved in less than three hours, with minimal set-up and left participants keen for more and feeling very energised.
I’d highly recommend Lauren to help you facilitate a wellbeing and team working event with an existing team or to get a more disparate group working together effectively.”

“Our team felt energized and positive for the week ahead”

“It was such a pleasure to have Lauren come and lead a workshop at Career Curious. When bringing together a group of women to network, it’s fairly easy to get people talking, but less easy to get them to deeply engage with one another. Lauren had us singing together and laughing riotously whilst also practicing important creative skills. We’d definitely invite her back and would recommend her workshops to anyone looking to get a team working together well and exploring their creativity more openly.”

Co-Founder, Career Curious
“Lauren was devoted to the success of the event. Her engaging, cheerful manner and the quality of her work impressed. She was a pleasure to work with and enthusiastic from start to finish”
